We love your furry friends almost as much as you do. That’s why we’ve kitted out Sleepy Owl with a few little extra treats just for them. Let them explore the winding river and wide open fields before relaxing at the doggy spa and curling up in a cosy doggy bed. Each retreat can welcome up to two well behaved pooches.

Family Friendly

We pride ourselves on being family friendly and our retreats have been designed with you and your kids in mind. From the colourful lights above the bunk beds, the telescope, to the stacks of board games, we’ve crammed Sleepy Owl with loads to enjoy for all ages. There’s also plenty to do in the surrounding area, including theme parks, surfing, and miles of coast. Each retreat can welcome up to two children.

The Site

Sleepy Owl Devon is a small boutique collection of exquisite stays tucked away in a secret hidden valley just below the breath-taking Hartland Peninsula in North Devon.

Nestled in a 20-acres of private land, Sleepy Owl retreats boast an unrivalled backdrop. Take a stroll through the wildflower meadow, along the twisting river, and through the woods, right on the doorstep of your retreat.

Dark skies - enjoy evenings curled up on the terrace or in your hot tub watching the stars - the view is quite spectacular. Sleepy Owl is situated in a dark skies area so you can admire the milky way and a telescope is provided in each retreat.

We had a really relaxing weekend and plenty of fun even though the weather wasn't great. The weather really didn't matter. The Cosy Cowshed was a perfect place to return to having visited dramatic autumnal seas and beaches. A warm welcome greets you in a spotless, stylish, well designed and well resourced home from home.

Fabulous!! It was the most luxurious escape. Every single aspect of the accommodation was the highest of quality. So much care and thought into the aesthetics for maximum comfort and luxury. We left feeling completely relaxed and in wonderful harmony!

What a stunning place to stay, the photos actually don't do the treehouse justice. So luxurious and the owners went out of their way to spoil us. A real gem of a find in a gorgeous setting. Easy walking distance to the village pubs and restaurants.

The outdoor tub was so inviting at the end of a long day. It was hard to decide where we wanted to wind down - there or the huge deep sofa in front of the wood burner! It's clear the owners have really thought about the finishing touches.
